We love dogs and want to see them happy and playing with friends! In March 2009, Sweet Dreams Doghouse was opened with the unique goal of providing in-home, CAGE-FREE dog boarding and daycare. We wanted dogs to be able to play and interact while being boarded, instead of being kenneled and kept separate from each other. We wanted dogs to have a vacation of their own while their people were taking some needed time off. We wanted dog lovers NOT to feel guilty about leaving town without their dog because they knew their dog would be with friends, enjoying themselves, loved, and well cared for.





In-Home, cage-free dog boarding...the first of it's kind in Warrensburg & the KC area.



We opened up our home to create an environment that allows all the comforts of home,

while providing a safe place to interact and play with other dogs.

There are no kennels here. Dogs are part of the family.



doggie daycare...The benefits go beyond exercise & socialization



In 2011, we began offering daycare to provide dogs with a chance to socialize and play under the guidance of dog care professionals.  Over time we noticed that the environment did wonders with dogs who suffered from separation anxiety, were socially awkward or fearful of other dogs. Puppies and older dogs gained confidence and began to enjoy the other dogs. Aggressive behaviors caused by the fear of other dogs quickly disappeared, and destructive behaviors at home decreased. This is due to the guidance they receive from us and the other dogs vacationing here as well.

Amy Wolfe



Amy began her career as a professional dog trainer in January 2007 after graduating from the Animal Behavior College, ABC. Focusing mainly in puppy training and working with dogs with aggression and behavioral issues, she now applies this knowledge to the day to day life at the Doghouse. In addition to her education at ABC, Amy holds a MS degree in Technology & Occupational Education and BS degree in Graphic Arts from the University of Central Missouri. From 2002-2012 she taught Creative Problem Solving & Graphic Arts Courses at the University of Central Missouri.



Pickles



Pickles LOVES you! He is one of the most friendly pups you will ever meet. A tender-hearted soul. He loves people and dogs, but will do anything for a little girl. Social, lovable, well-mannered...that's our Pickles.



glen wolfe



Glen joined Sweet Dreams Doghouse in 2015 with a background in dog obedience training and a keen sense of dog behavior. In addition to a love of dogs, Glen is an avid songwriter, bicycle repairman, artist, and cook. You can find some of his songs on his Wolfe Custom channel on YouTube. He also holds a BS degree in Creative Writing from Drury University.

God rest his soul. He should have been called Napoleon. He was bossy, loud and would try to intimidate all the dogs...but he was absolutely harmless. He made sure all the small dogs staying with us would be unharmed. He loved his job with the dogs, and we loved him! We miss him dearly.



ciba



Ciba is fun-loving, lovable, and friendly to everyone she meets. Quick to learn and eager to please. She likes to run, explore, and wrestle with the other pups. Ciba is an absolute joy to be around, albeit a bit rowdy and loud on the initial meeting with a first-time visitor. She just gets so excited to introduce someone new to the Doghouse that she can barely contain herself!



Drex



God rest his soul. The best dog one could ask for. An angel on earth. He had a gentle spirit and was loved by all the dogs that came here. The dogs would shower him with kisses when they arrived. He taught us so much and is missed by all.

God rest her soul. She was the smartest dog we've met and taught us so much on how to work with dogs that are aggressive. She was one of the main reasons this business exists. A true leader and protector of the small dogs. She changed our lives and the lives of every dog that stays here. She is dearly loved and deeply missed.
